3/29/04 11:25:00 AM: This was my first view of the Bund. I donapos ’t think it was a particulary overcast, foggy, or smoggy day in Shanghai, it looks like this most days. I guess my habit of appreciating the nice weather when it comes will come in handy after San Francisco. Unfortunately, Shanghai does not offer the panoply of outdoor options available in S.F.
This river – The Huangpi – connects with the Bay of Something and then the Pacific Ocean, so if you were going to sail from Pier 39, Dock E, Slip 23, this would be your eventual arrival spot in Shanghai, though I don't think they appreciate pleasure boats docking here.
