5/29/2005 2:34 PM - Another view of the the Largo do Senado. This is a nice European flavored square with Portuguese pavement of wave-patterned stones and a large spheric fountain. Across the road is the imposing neo-classical building, formerly the Leal Senado (containing an art gallery, courtyard garden and library). There is another interesting ( in a historical, European way)building here with a baroque facade - the Santa Casa da Misericórdia (established 1568, the oldest European charity on China).
